President Obamas, 53 billion Obama High speed rail

Question sent to me 7/8/2011

Dear Mr. Harvey: I would like to know if you are
elected President what your position on the 53 billion Obama High speed rail
proposal is. Thank you. Vincent R

I appreciate
you asking for my opinion since no media ever gives time to a "Middle

As to President Obamas, 53 billion Obama High speed rail
proposal. Spending 53 billion to use for infrastructure jump-start job creation,
Yes. High speed rail, No. High speed rail is not the mind set of the American
people style of living. They will not give up the automobile. To prove that
consider that we are the largest consumers of oil and resources in the world and
we are a small Nation and very new nation compared to other nations that have
been around before BC. That is why all forms of public transportation has been a
failure. "Yet only 14 million Americans use public transportation daily while 88
percent of all trips in the United States are made by car—and many of those cars
carry only one person." ""
I believe spending 53 billion to use for infrastructure jump-start job creation,
Should go toward, repairing bridges, roads and highways.

Also we have
many states in the west that are using pipe lines for water that is over 100
years old. Water is vital to all cities. American infrastructure is in trouble,
from collapsed bridges to leaking dams

Our Power Grid is old and need repairs and updating. "America’s Electric Grid:
Three Companies Upgrading This Aging Infrastructure" by David Fessler, Energy

U.S. electrical power grid is America’s national “engine.”

In fact, it’s
been described as the largest system of interconnected machines on the

Just consider these statistics:

•It boasts over one
million megawatts of generating capacity.

•It has 9,200 generating

•The long-distance transmission tower infrastructure stretches
more than 300,000 miles.

Like water, we take our electricity for granted.
And 99.97% of the time, the process works just fine. But what about 0.03% of the
time that the grid goes down? ""

let me ask you a question. Do you think water and power is more important than
High speed rail?

I voted for Obama but he is not making these bad
decission alone, He is getting bad advice and not using comon sense.

bailling out Wall Street, Instead of Main Street. He could have made a contract
with all the quailfied home owners in foorclosures, that if the pay back the
loan at 5% interest over 25 years, The Governent would pay their morgage for 12
months. This would have saved the majority of homes and we would have used half
what we spent on Wall Street. Also we would have to hire thousands of employees
to process the paper work. If a persons home was 3 months in the rear then that
would be caught up and give them 9 more months to try and get on their feet. I
have nothing against "upper Class" r wealth, Howver, in Congress that has over
252 Millionaires it has been a failure to the "Middle Class" and "working Class"
Since " franklin D. Roseefielt died in 1945. We need a well educated "Middle
Class" President that will make common sense decisions best for the Majority of
Americans and the "Middle Class" makes up 72% of our population.

Also ask
your self why no media that is domiated by the "Big Six" never give the "Middle
Class" candidates for president, Like myself and others any coverage. make me
think of China, where they decide what the people will see or not

Thank you for your interest and concern.

Charles Harvey,
Candidate for President-2012
