Comment by Richard J Smith on March 13, 2011 at 12:34pm: Since 2001 we spent over 1 trillion dollars,and now close to 2 trillion,in the Iraq war and Afganistan war.Shouldn't there be a focus on these expendatures.Also take a look at the numbers spent on the troops in Japan,Korea,Germany,etc.

Secondly,if there are not efforts to the return of and new startups of manufacturing.We are only fooling ourselves.The so called service jobs will just not cut it.

Comment by Thatcher James on March 14, 2011 at 1:23am: Richard, Your right never before have we entered into a war without increasing taxes toi pay for the costs of the was. To cxut taxeds while engasing in 2 wars is IMHO criminal and any one voting to do so should be held criminally responsible.

Unless we as a nation choose to reward the companies that manufacturer in this country and choose to penalize those that don't we should not expect to see manufacturing return to this country.
