The Citizens Party will be seeking a volunteer candidate coordinator to begin in January 2013. The candidate coordinator will be responsible to communicating with perspective and announced Citizens Party candidates regarding requirements for running for office and other matters.
For example, a member might contact the Citizens Party and express that they have been thinking about running for state rep. in let's say Arkansas and wants to know what he or she would have to do to get on the ballot. We would forward the question to the candidate coordinator who would research the question by first going onto the Arkansas state website and finding out what papers, fees or signatures a candidate for state rep. would need to submit and when (deadlines). The candidate coordinator would then relay that info. back to the member (potential member) and party. Most of the information can usually be found on the proper website. We will also be adding a general 2014 ballot access requirement page (for state-wide offices) here on votecitizens.org in the coming weeks for candidates and our candidate coordinator to use as a general guide for quickly finding signature requirements for state-wide office in their state.
We will be posting more details about this volunteer position in the near future. If you have an interest in this position and want to learn more now, please contact me.
