I've always been against riders and earmarks attached to bills in order to force an agenda through Congress, daring Presidents to veto. It's a shameful and sleazy way to pass appropriations and policy. The budget bill in its current form has several social agenda riders that have no business being part of the proposed budget. De-funding is just a coward's tactic, regardless of partisan bias. Let's call it like it is and debate the issues like real Americans!
